Artists Statement

Often, our modern lives are so focused that environmental awareness falls to the wayside, as a peripheral notion at best. My photographic work is intended to uplift viewers, and generate awareness of natural treasures that are either currently protected, or threatened by detrimental pressure.

My inspiration is derived from a deep love and caring for the natural world. It is a world that I feel intrinsically connected with; I believe that when harm is done to the planet, in essence, harm befalls on humankind as a whole. Wilderness and biodiversity are two of the globes greatest treasures; the value of landscape--and the flora and fauna contained within--unspoiled by mankind is unquestionable.

It is my goal that the images represented within this website, as well as my images either published in magazines or hung on the walls of galleries, will provoke a response that inspires viewers to take whatever steps may be needed to stall the destructive path we as humans now follow. No matter how big or small these steps are; the impact generated by the masses will be profound.

I believe that the power of photographs can create change.
